Home based players in the Nigeria Professional Football League have a major role to play in the Super Eagles and compete for players with the second string foreign players according to interim Coach, Salisu Yusuf.

Salisu spoke in the long term despite the Nigeria Football Federation announcing it will hire a ” substantive head coach” after the Man/June friendlies.

The coach expressed hope that the new program will help the Men’s national team build a formidable side.
