GHANASoccernet.com understands that Heart of Lions coach Yusif Abubakar and David Duncan are on a two-man shortlist for the Asante Kotoko job.

According reports from the Garden City, the management presented the names of the coaches to the board on Monday.

Last week, CEO Opoku Nti revealed ten expatriate coaches had applied for the coaching job but it looks like he and his team prefer a local coach.

Duncan, who has been in the job market since he had his contract with Hearts of Oak terminated in November 2013, has been the frontrunner for the job.

Abubakar has been impressive with Lions and guided them to finish second last season.

He has rich experience from coaching defunct Swedru All Blacks, Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea.
