Xavi Espart agrees improved Barcelona contract after breakthrough season

Barcelona defender Xavi Espart has agreed to extend his contract with the Catalan club, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 19-year-old full-back has accepted Barcelona’s offer of a new deal, which will run until the middle of 2030. The revised agreement will also include an increase in Espart’s salary.

Espart’s current contract with Barcelona is due to expire at the end of June 2028. His transfer value is estimated at five million euros.

The young defender has made five appearances in La Liga this season, scoring once and providing two assists.
