The Super Eagles have dropped one spot in the latest FIFA World Rankings, slipping out of Africa’s top five teams, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The ranking comes following the win against Rwanda and draw against South Africa in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers played last week.
The Super Eagles are ranked 45th position, a point differently from their previous 44th which seems them trail Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Ivory Coast in the continental rankings.
Morocco remain 11th in the world after strings of good results which have seen them qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
In the world ranking, the Spanish national team returned to the top of the rankings with France, England, Argentina and Portugal occupying top five.
