Women's UCL: Barcelona progress to next round after whitewash of Ucheibe's Benfica
The second to the last group matches of the Women's Uefa Champions League were played yesterday with encounters in group C and D.
In group C, Asisat Oshoala's Barcelona trounced Christy Ucheibe's Benfica away from home by six goals to two to secure a quarter final place.
The first leg had ended in an nine nil trashing where Oshoala had scored but this time she was not in action as her team eased passed Benfica.
Ucheibe was in action for 63 minutes before she was substituted as she couldn't help her team survive the defeat in the hands of the Spanish Giants.
In the group match, Bayern Munich defeated Ayinde's Rosengard by four goals to nil to also qualify to the next round of the competition.
The final group matches will see Ucheibe's Benfica play against Bayern Munich while Oshoala's Barcelona play Rosengard.
Barcelona top the group on goals difference after amazing 12 points same as Bayern Munich Ladies.
