Eniola Aluko is leaving her role as sporting director of Aston Villa Women. The former striker is expected to take a job with a high profile women's club before the start of the new season. Aluko, former Juventus Women, joined Villa at the start of the season and helped the club narrowly avoid relegation this campaign. The departure comes after a a number of high profile WSL clubs have recently parted ways with their managers, including Man United's Casey Stoney and Joe Montemurro at Arsenal. Villa bosses Marcus Bignot and Gemma Davies have also left their managerial roles this week. Aluko's next club is not expected to be announce for a couple of weeks yet.
