Wolves allay Neves fears
Wolves have eased fears concerning Ruben Neves after the midfielder was injured during the 2-0 Europa League qualifier win against Crusaders.
The 22-year-old, who was a key figure in helping Wolves earn their place in Europe last season, was taken off during the encounter on Thursday night at Molineux in the second half.
Neves took a blow to the stomach and was taken to hospital but the club's head of medical Phil Hayward has eased fears regarding the player’s wellbeing and it’s hoped he should be back playing soon.
"Following a heavy blow to the abdominal area during the second half of last night's game, Ruben was taken to hospital as a precaution for further tests to ensure there was no significant injury to his abdomen," Hayward said on the club's official website.
"Thankfully, all the tests were clear, and he returned home later in the evening."
Wolves will be hoping to have Neves fit and ready for their opening game of the Premier League season when they make the trip to King Power Stadium to face Leicester City on 11th August.
Wolves are 21/10 to win, 11/5 to draw and 13/10 to lose to the Foxes.
