Wilfried Zaha remains without a club as he considers several options for the next stage of his career.

The Ivory Coast international became a free agent after ending his spell in MLS and completing his departure from Galatasaray. At 33, the forward is looking for an ambitious project that matches both his sporting ambitions and his financial expectations.

Botafogo have made enquiries about Zaha’s situation, but talks have stalled over salary demands. According to 225foot, the player is seeking about €4m a year, a figure above what the Brazilian club was prepared to offer. The former Crystal Palace player has therefore ruled out that possibility.

A move to Malaga has also been discussed, although no formal offer has been made. The Spanish club are due to play Celta Vigo in the fifth round of the Spanish championship.

Al Riyadh are monitoring the situation in Saudi Arabia and could provide another option for Zaha. Exclusive information from Africafoot also indicates that the Ivorian is being considered by Young Boys of Bern.

Despite the uncertainty over his future, Zaha retains significant experience and remains an attractive proposition. His current market value is estimated at €3.5m.

During his time with Charlotte FC, he scored 13 goals and supplied eight assists in 48 appearances. He is now taking the time to assess the available opportunities before deciding where to continue his career.
