Why youngster of Nigerian descent didn't travel with Manchester United for pre-season
Manchester United youngstar of Nigeria descent, Shola Shoretire was surprisingly omitted from Manchester United's traveling squad to Bangkok on Friday, July 8.
The England U19 international of Nigerian descent was heavily tipped to be named in the Tour 2022 squad considering that he had trained with the first team since the start of pre-season preparations at the Carrington Training Ground.
However, it appears that the Red Devils higher-ups made a decision on his future before the squad jetted out to Asia.
BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone has informed that first team boss Erik ten Hag opted to omit Shoretire from the roster because a temporary departure from Old Trafford is on the cards as he is attracting interest from clubs who want him on loan.
