As reported previously, former Nigeria International Victor Moses is yet to resume training with Russian club Spartak Moscow.

Spartak Moscow have brought out a press release stating that they are investigating the circumstances of Moses's decision not to report for pre-season training.

Moses who still has a contract with the Russian outfit that runs for the next two years, has been training alone recently and it is believed that the reason for the ex-Chelsea man not resuming training is due to the opinion of his wife and family.

"Moses explains to Spartak that there are several reasons why he cannot yet return to the club's location," a source told Championat.com.

"One of the reasons is the opinion of the family. The footballer's wife does not want to let him go back to Russia."

"The club and the player remain in touch. The decision on the future of the midfielder has not been made."

Recall that the ex-Nigeria International became a Spartak player in the fall of 2020, moving to the Moscow club from London's Chelsea. As part of the red and white Nigerian midfielder took part in 33 matches, scored three goals and gave five assists.

Victor Moses who had a 9-year relationship with Chelsea wanted to return to the Premier League three months ago.
