West Brom have reportedly invited Laurent Depoitre's agent to a match at The Hawthorns in an attempt to coax the Belgian striker into a move from Gent.
Albion are understood to have sent scouts on several occasions to watch the 27-year-old, who was an unused substitute in Gent's Champions League defeat at Wolfsburg on Tuesday night.
Other Premier League clubs are interested in the £8 million rated forward, including Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.
Gent are likely to want to cash in this summer with Depoitre, a powerful striker tends to operate as a target man, having only one year left on his contract.
And the Baggies appear to have stolen a march on their rivals by asking the player's representative to the Hawthorns.
