West Brom Eyeing Ighalo
West Brom are interested in signing Watford striker Odion Ighalo before the transfer window shuts, according to Sky sources.
The Baggies want to bring in a new striker before allowing Saido Berahino to leave the club and they tried to sign West Ham’s Diafra Sakho last week.
Sakho was ready to join the West Midlands club but failed a medical and the deal fell through, leaving West Brom to move on to other targets, of which Ighalo is one. West Brom are now under new Chinese ownership after the takeover by the Yunyi Guokai (Shanghai) Sports Group and are expected to invest heavily in new players upon their arrival.
Ighalo, 27, signed for Watford from Udinese in July 2014 and scored 17 goals in 42 appearances in his first season in the Premier League.
