Wesley Sneijder recalls facing Russian teams during his career

Wesley Sneijder, the former Real Madrid and Inter midfielder, has spoken about his memories of playing against teams from Russia, saying: “To my great regret, during my career I often played against teams from Russia.”

Sneijder was also involved in one of the most memorable meetings between the Netherlands and Russia, when the sides met in the quarter-finals of the 2008 European Championship.
