Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, has assured Nigerians that every aspect of the senior national men’s team, the Super Eagles, will be reviewed for maximum performance.

“As the Minister of Youths and Sports, it is my responsibility to make sure that the sports sector is growing. We expect good results from the technical crew of the Super Eagles,” the minister remarked while addressing journalists in Minna, the Niger State capital.

“Therefore, we will review everything about the Super Eagles to enable the national team progress and give us good results.”

Dare admitted that Nigerians had reasons to be unsatisfied even with the goalless draw in the reverse fixture of the AFCON 2022 qualifier in Freetown.

Newsmen recall that football fans across the country expected a more robust response from the calibre of players in the squad in the return leg after they allowed a solid four goal lead slip to draw 4-4 in the first installment.

“We are not happy with what happened in Siera Leone on Tuesday. Therefore, we have to do something to make the Super Eagles give us good results,” Dare insisted.
