We have corrected all our mistakes against Hearts insists Djoliba boss Iavn Minnaert
Head coach of Djoliba AC Ivan Minnaert, insists that Hearts of Oak has not qualified to the next stage of the CAF Confederations Cup despite losing 2-1 to the Phobians in Mali.
The coach, who arrived in Ghana last night with the Djoliba team, was full of confidence that they were going to shock the Phobians on Sunday.
He said his team had corrected all their mistakes in the first leg and was confident that they were going to beat Hearts of Oak on Sunday to qualify adding that none of the two teams has qualified yet, especially Hearts, despite winning the first leg.
“We are here to play the second leg and I believe that we have done all our corrections from the first leg. We are confident that we will win on Sunday and the players are very focused, and hopefully we will have a great game”, Ivan Minnaert is quoted by Ghanafootballnews
The Malians have a tall order to overturn a 2-1 deficit as they lost the first leg on home grounds with the Phobians grabbing two important away goals. They will have to score two away goals before having any realistic chances of qualify to the next stage, but the coach is adamant they can achieve that.
“For us it is nothing because we have been in far worse situations and we managed to win and qualify so we don’t see this as a problem.”
“Every team is beatable and just as they beat us in Mali we can do same here. Like I said all we are looking for is a good game on Sunday we believe that by the end of the game the story would have be different.”
