“We are saddened by Moses' injury…” Disheartened Nantes manager
FC Nantes manager Antoine Kombouare has voiced his disappointment following the loss of Moses Simon to injury, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The winger's season came to an abrupt halt after fracturing his ankle during Nigeria's 2-0 friendly against Mali on Tuesday.
Simon, a pivotal figure for the Canaries, underwent successful surgery on Friday but is set to be sidelined for up to three months.
With Nantes battling relegation in Ligue 1, Kombouare acknowledged the significant blow of losing such a key player.
"We are saddened by Moses' injury as he was eager to return and support the team," Kombouare conveyed via the club's website.
"Unfortunately, that won't be the case. We now must forge ahead without him. It's a substantial setback for the team."

Despite his season being cut short, Simon's impact was notable, contributing three goals and six assists in 22 league appearances for Nantes.
