The U-17 Women’s Football National Team, the Flamingos, are gearing up their preparations ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India later this month.

Captain of the Flamingos, Alvine Dah Zossu, has once again affirmed the readiness of the team ahead of the tournament in India.

Bankole Olowookere’s girls dispatched the ladies of Galatasaray by 3-1 on Saturday and will be looking forward to the battle against the female side of Fenerbache later this week.

The Flamingos Captain underlined the fact that the team is ready to do well at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India and will stop at nothing to achieve the set goal.

"Every training day is an opportunity to learn, good things don't come easily but we are determined to do well at the FIFA Women's U-17 World Cup. We won't rest until we achieve our aim", she said.

The Flamingos are currently gearing up for the World Cup in India in a closed camping exercise in Kocaeli, Turkey.

The Flamingos were drawn in Group B along side European giants, Germany, Chile and New Zealand. The U-17 Women's World Cup holds in India from Oct 11 to 30.
