WCQ: We drew the first game, this time we want to go a step further - Zimbabwe 's Andy Rinomhota
Zimbabwe's England-based star is looking forward to taking on the Super Eagles, the team against which he made his debut for the Warriors when they play on Tuesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Cardiff City midfielder says the team is optimistic about getting a good result in Uyo especially after the first leg ended 1-1 in Zimbabwe.
Speaking on Zimbabwe Football Association on X, he said, “We’re optimistic. We got a result against Nigeria last time, even though it was technically a home game in Rwanda.
“That was my first game – it was a big test, and the team did well to draw. This time, we want to go a step further.
“We respect Nigeria, but not too much. We’ll try to impose ourselves. We’ve come here to get a result and keep pushing towards our goal.”
The Super Eagles and the Warriors go win in their group C World Cup Qualifiers at the Godswil Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo ok Tuesday at 5 pm Nigeria time.
