Albert Adomah is staying with Middlesbrough, until January at least, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Adomah put in a transfer request, as revealed by HITC Sport, at the end of August, just ahead of the transfer deadline day, following a falling out with manager Aitor Karanka.

Despite interest, no offers emerged for the Ghana international – as also revealed by HITC Sport - but he was still being linked with a possible loan move to one of their Championship rivals.

However, Boro have no intention of loaning him out – with that particular window set to open on Wednesday - and the club's hierarchy hope the episode is now 'put to bed' and that he will still have a long-term future with the club.

HITC Sport understands that Adomah returned to training with the rest of the Boro first-team squad on Tuesday and is working his way towards Saturday’s meeting with MK Dons.
