Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner rued the fact that his side had failed to get a win on the board as they lost 1-0 at Bristol City in the FA Cup third round.

The Terriers have now lost nine games in a row, with Wagner having hoped to see a positive outcome at Ashton Gate to lift the morale of his team, who are rooted to the foot of the Premier League table.

We were not good enough and we haven't had a clean sheet in nine games.

However, after another afternoon of disappointment, he told reporters: "We missed getting the winning feeling back. Nothing is better than the winning feeling.

"We were not good enough to win this game. It was a tight and even game, but I expected more. The dressing room is quiet.

"We were not good enough and we haven't had a clean sheet in nine games. We had chances, but didn't work the keeper.

"It looked like one goal would decide the game and you saw what happens when you hit the target. We were in better positions in the game, but didn't hit the target."

The Terriers must try and halt their losing run next Saturday when they head to South Wales to take on Cardiff City, with the Bluebirds having won just one of their last six games in all competitions.

Huddersfield can be backed at 21/10 to gain a draw at the Cardiff City Stadium, with a 1-1 final score priced at 11/2 and 0-0 available at 6/1.

The meeting of the two sides earlier this season ended in a goalless draw, with Town ending the game with ten men after Jonathan Hogg was sent off.
