The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will square up in one of the semifinals of the ongoing WAFU B U17 championship in Ghana, Nigeriasoccernet can report.

Côte d'Ivoire after smashing Niger 6-1 in their second group game, the Junior Elephants surprisingly fell 4-2 defeat to Burkina Faso in their last group match on Saturday afternoon.

The defeat means they finished second with 3 points behind Burkina Faso who amassed maximum of 9 points.

As runners up from Group B, Côte d'Ivoire will face the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria in one of the semifinals.

The other semi-final will see Burkina Faso face the Ghana.

The finalists will qualify to represent the region in the 2023 U17 African Cup of Nations in Algeria.
