KRC Genk manager Wouter Vrancken, has come to the rescue Nigeria youngster Tolu Arokodare who was watered down by his previous trainer from Amiens, Philippe Hinschberger. Nigeriasocceenet.com reports.

Barely a week ago, Arokodare joined the Belgian league to replace the league top scorer Paul Onuachu who left for Southampton the 22 year old scored a goal on his debut but also got series of backlash from Hinschberger.

However, his current coach, Vrancken disagrees with Amiens SC head coach, Philippe Hinschberger on his controversial disclosures starting how he betters his compatriot, Onuachu.

“He is more explosive than Onuachu, who of course already has more experience as a finisher,” Vrancken defends Arokodare as per VoetbalKrant.

“But Tolu is a young player with a lot of potentials, he was at the top of our wish list. He has a good bounce and is very eager to learn. He asks a lot of questions, which I think is very positive.

“We are patient with him because all our game principles are new to him. Both offensively and defensively. He was used to being played on his body, after which they would see what happened. That is why we will work intensively with him in the coming weeks.”

Arokodare moved to the Belgian club from  French Ligue 2 club, Amiens SC on the deadline date of the January transfer window. The deal agreed is for four and half seasons.
