Victor Boniface scores as RUSG reach quarter final of Belgian Cup
Nigeria's Victor Boniface scored in Royale Union Saint-Gilloise against KV Oostende in the Croky Cup on Tuesday at the State Joseph Marien in Brussels.
Boniface scored early in the first half in what was his first goal since October to put his side in good mood for a win.
His goal came in the 11th minute after connecting well with Teddy Teuma's cross to beat the goalkeeper.
However, the away side rallied back to equal score as Theo Ndicka Matam scored 8 minute later following a defensive slip.
The first half ended one all, but the home side came out better in the second half as they sought to get maximum points that would ensure a berth in the last 8.
That they did as 20 year old Ivorian forward, Simon Adingra threw the home fans into ectasy with his 84th goal which earned RUSG the needed win.
Boniface, 21 with the goal scorer now has 4 goals to his name since he joined the Belgian side in August from Norwegian side, Bodo Gilmit.
