Venezia keep faith with Giovanni Stroppa after difficult Serie A start

Venezia have confirmed their support for Giovanni Stroppa despite losing each of their first five Serie A matches this season.

The club’s poor opening to the Italian top flight has produced five defeats from five games, but the results have not led to a vote of no confidence in the head coach. Instead, Venezia’s leadership has decided to continue backing Stroppa.

Venezia’s next Serie A fixture is against Atalanta. The match will take place on 11 October, following an extended pause for international football.
