Value Jet Cup: Remo Stars are champions of maiden edition

Remo Stars claimed the maiden edition of the Value Jet pre season cup on Friday after beating Smart City FC 3-0 in the final, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

A brace from Adams Olamilekan and an own goal from Salawudeen Ismail was all the CAF Confederation Cup campaigner needed.

The competitive tournament served as a preparation for Nigeria's contingencies to CAF interclub competition starting later this month.

Rivers United, Plateau United, Remo Stars and Kwara United all took part in the tournament ahead of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup preliminary rounds coming up.
