Union look to get back on track
The slumping Philadelphia Union welcome in the Chicago Fire on Saturday evening as the hosts look to maintain their advantage atop the Eastern Conference.
The Union have been unimpressive in their last five outings. Philadelphia has lost to Real Salt Lake and New York City FC, shipping four goals in each defeat, drawn with Orlando City and the New England Revolution, and has a sole triumph over Orlando on the road.
Despite this indifferent form the Union still have a one point advantage over DC United in the standings with the defending MLS champions, Atlanta United, in third.
The Fire are third from bottom in the Western Conference, only better than the Columbus Crew and the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Philadelphia will hope to pick up the win and increase their lead over DC United and Atlanta United, who battle in Georgia at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday.
The fourth place New York Red Bulls also return to the field on Sunday when they travel to Florida to face Orlando City. The Red Bulls topped New York City FC in controversial fashion last weekend before falling to Toronto FC earlier in the week.
New York has also had poor form of late with two wins, two defeats and a draw, although the latter was a good result down in Atlanta when playing to a 3-3 tie.
Meanwhile the Montreal Impact will hope to shake off three consecutive losses when they visit the Crew in Columbus. Back-to-back defeats to Atlanta United, Minnesota United and Toronto FC have the Impact reeling.
Philadelphia Union are 20/1 to win the MLS Cup this season with LAFC 9/4 and New York City FC 7/1.
LAFC's Carlos Vela is priced at 1/2 to be the league's top goalscorer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic 10/3.
