Golden Eaglets coach, Nduka Ugbade expresses his satisfaction over the manner at which his players took their chances in their 3-2 win over South Africa on Saturday night at the 2023  African U-17 Cup of Nations, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Nigeria prior to the game have scored just a goal in their first two matches, wasting several chances against Morocco the eventual Group B winners.

This was a major concern for coach Ugbade who in his prematch conference revealed how efficient his boys were in their tuneup games.

After seeing his boys came back from a 2-1 deficit to defeat the Amajibos 3-2, Ugbade said he is glad seeing his team scored three goals.

“We worked a bit in training and we did some corrections. We realized that it was purely psychological and we talked to the players and we saw an improvement today.

“We might have conceded two but I am glad we scored three,” the tactician said in his post match press conference.”

The two-time champions will face either the defending champions Cameroon or Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals.
