On a night Bayer Leverkusen trounced Feyernoord 4-0 in their 2024/25 Champions League opener, Nigeria goal machine Victor Boniface was missing on the scorer's sheet, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

Known for his antics on and off the pitch, there were high expectations from fans across the globe on Victor Boniface to score with many cameras waiting to capture his scintillating dance steps, one of which was witnessed over the weekend when he scored a brace against Hoffenheim.

However, the Nigerian failed to hit the back of the net although provided a moment of brilliance with his no-look pass which led to Leverkusen's 3rd goal of the encounter.

Boniface was substituted for Patrik Schick in the 62nd minute of the encounter.

Meanwhile, Victor's national teammate Nathan Tella was an unused sub on the night. Tella who featured for 57 minutes in Leverkusen's 4-1 win at Hoffenheim on Saturday remained on the bench for the entire duration.
