UCL: Ilenikhena writes Champions League history
Nigerian youngster George Ilenikhena on Thursday night became the youngest goal-scorer ever for AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League as they defeated Barcelona 2-1 at the Louis II Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Ilenikhena who started the game from the bench was introduced for Breel Embolo in the 59th minute of the encounter with the scores levelled at 1-1 and 12 minutes into the game, the Nigerian inked his name in the history book scoring Monaco's winner of the night.
Celebrating the youngster's achievement, Monaco wrote: George Ilenikhena, the youngest goalscorer of our team in the Champions League history

Despite coming on in the second half, Ilenikhena was voted the man of the match for his outstanding performance on the pitch.
