Uchenna Kanu leaves Racing Louisville FC
Racing Louisville FC has confirmed that Nigerian international Uchenna Kanu has been released following the expiration of her contract, bringing her time at the club to an end, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The announcement comes on the back of a historic milestone for Racing, who secured their first-ever NWSL Playoffs appearance this past season.
Kanu is one of six players set to depart as the club restructures its squad for 2026. Racing Louisville noted that while discussions continue with several players they hope to retain, Kanu will enter free agency and explore opportunities elsewhere.
Also leaving the club are Jordan Baggett, Bethany Balcer, Allie George, Katie Lund, and Madison White, none of whom will be re-signing.
Despite these exits, Racing Louisville will maintain a strong foundation heading into the new campaign. The 17 returning players form the core of the team, contributing 91% of all starts, 89% of total minutes played, and 88% of the goals scored during the 2025 season.
