Ghana U20 captain Owusu Bempah is looking forward to a win when they face Columbia on Tuesday after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Portugal in the previous warm-up game.

Coach Sellas Tetteh is putting the final touches to his team in Australia and will have the opportunity to test the level of development in the game against Columbia on Tuesday.

The team showed glimpses of improvement in the 1-0 defeat against Portugal but also showed defensive naivety leading to the only goal of the game that condemned them to a painful 1-0 defeat against Portugal.

Skipper Bempah says the game against Columbia is an opportunity to end their pre-tournament camping on the high.

“It’s been a great time here where we have pushed ourselves to the limit,” Bempah told GHANAsoccernet.com from the team’s base in Australia.

“We have to win against Columbia that will put us in the right frame of mind going into the competition itself.

“The entire team is great and we are confident that it would be one great campaign.”

The Black Satellites are in group B of the upcoming FIFA U-20 world cup and will take on Panama, Austria and favorites for the group Argentina with the top two automatically making the knock out stages of the tournament.
