The Nigeria U-23 team also known as the Olympic Eagles have been promised the sum of $20,000 to beat Tanzania in their qualifiers for the U-23 African Cup of Nations.

 

This was the promise made by Chairman, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) task force on youth competitions, Aminu Balele Kurfi prior to the team's departure for Tanzania.

 

According to the football administrator this was to boost the morale of the boys to get the job done in Dar es Salaam.

 

The match is slated for Saturday, 22nd October at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium while the return leg come up seven days later at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

 

The team have since arrived Tanzania, preparing for the match.
