U-20 WAFU Cup Final: Senegal Beat Flying Eagles To Claim Trophy

Nigeria’s U-20 side, the Flying Eagles lost 2-0 to Senegal in the final of the 2018 U-20 WAFU Cup at the Stade Municipal de Lome on Sunday.

Senegal dominated play in the first half but were unable to find a way past the Flying Eagles defence led by skipper of Ikouewen Udoh.

Sagna Amadou however netted the curtain raiser for the Senegalese two minutes after the break

The Flying Eagles fought hard to find the equaliser but were unable to find a way past Senegal goalkeeper, Dialy Ndiaye.

Youssouph Badji however put the game beyond Nigeria when he scored the second goal of the evening in the 69th minute.

Earlier, Mali beat hosts Niger 2-1 to claim third position in the competition
