Madrid made two official bids for Mbappé, totaling €150 million and €170 million, with the Frenchman reportedly expressing his wish to leave the club.

The LaLiga giants, according to RMC and Telefoot, have called off discussions and are confident in signing the 22-year-old (for free) next summer.

PSG sporting director Leonardo acknowledged Mbappé's desire for a fresh challenge this summer but maintained that any exit would be on his terms alone.

“Kylian Mbappé wants to leave and that much is clear,” he told L’Equipe. “If the player wants to leave we won’t hold him back, but things will be done on our terms.”

For the PSG attacker, playing for Real Madrid has been a self-described "life-long goal," but he may have to wait another year to realize his dreams.
