TRANSFERS - Mario Mandzukic offered to Barcelona

Barcelona has been offered a chance to acquire Mario Mandzukic, a former Atletico Madrid and Juventus striker, as manager Ronald Koeman wants to add another center-forward to his team before the transfer season shuts, according to ESPN's Jordi Blanco Duch.
Apart from Martin Braithwaite, Barcelona has also recruited Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay to their forward ranks this summer, with Rey Manaj emerging as another alternative.
However, Koeman appears to be unconvinced by the resources at his disposal. Manaj has been linked with a move this late in the transfer season, while Aguero's fitness concerns have remained. After a spectacular debut against Real Sociedad, Braithwaite has looked flat in the previous couple of games.
However, considering the club's financial predicament, bringing in a major signing is out of the question. And, as a cost-cutting measure, Barcelona has been offered a chance to recruit experienced Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic.
The 35-year-old is no stranger to La Liga, having played the 2014/15 season with Atletico Madrid, when he was extremely productive. Following that, Mandzukic won a slew of trophies with Juventus before moving on to Qatari club Al-Duhail and, most recently, AC Milan.
