TRANSFERS - German striker in talks to join LigaMX side

According to an explosive new report by Record journalist Ignacio Suarez, Queretaro FC would be in talks to bring German star striker Lukas Podolski to LigaMX. Podolski, who is currently at Antalyaspor in the Turkey SuperLig, would be interested in joining los Gallos Blancos, a club that is not new to these types of operations, given how they signed Ronaldinho in 2014.
The German would add to the influx of European stars that come to try Mexican football, following Tigres' Gignac and soon-to-be Florian Thauvin. The striker has had an illustrious career starting at Koln, then continuing at giants Bayern Munchen and Arsenal, before joining current Italian champions Inter in 2015. He then transferred to Turkey, where he first played for Galatasaray and later for Antalyaspor.
