TRANSFERS - Fenerbahce likely to acquire LAFC midfielder Diego Rossi

A source confirmed to MLSsoccer.com that LAFC is in talks with Turkish club Fenerbahce about the signing of Diego Rossi.
Turkish news source A Spor first broke the story, which was later confirmed by ESPN's Jeff Carlisle.
Rossi, 23, is in his fourth season with LAFC, having joined before the club's debut season and scoring the club's first-ever Major League Soccer goal. He's been a standout from the start, scoring 48 goals and assisting 21 times in 104 games, including winning the MLS Golden Boot presented by Audi in a season cut short by the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020.
In 2021, the winger hasn't quite regained his usual form, scoring only six goals in 19 games, which is a career-low.
While most European transfer windows end on September 1, Turkey's does not close until September 8. Another complication is that the club must submit its Europa League squad list by the end of the day on September 2, meaning that any player recruited after that date would not be eligible to participate in the competition until January 1, when registration reopens.
