Beefing up ahead of next season's Premier League and continental engagements, David Moyes West Ham United have turned their attention to Nigeria-eligible Hertha Berlin defender, Jordan Torunarigha, Nigeriasoccerner.com understands.

The German-Nigerian defender who has been at Hertha Berlin since 2006, first as an eight-year-old schoolboy left the club for the first time in January, joining Belgian club Gent on a six-month loan deal.

However, Hertha Berlin turned down AA Gent offer of two million euros plus bonuses for.

Reports suggest the offer was way too small for the club's valuation of the player but a five million euros on the table could convince them to part with the German youth international.

It is not clear yet how much West Ham are willing to pay for the center-half with 73 caps, five goals, and five assists in the Bundesliga, but the son of former Shooting Stars of Ibadan ace Ojokolo Torunarigha might be moving to England anytime soon.
