Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan have confirmed Ghana international midfielder Alfred Duncan has moved to Sampdoria on loan but the Genoa-based side have committed to sign him permanently.

The 21-year-old initially switched to the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris as a loanee from the Nerazzuris with no commitment from i Blucerchiati.

But on a club statement issued by Inter Milan, they confirmed the deal: "FC Internazionale would like to announce the transfer that Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan has been transferred to UC Sampdoria loan with a commitment to make the deal permanent".

Duncan has started seven games for Sampdoria this season but managed to play in eleven league gamesĀ  for Sampdoria.

This is the second club Duncan is playing since gaining promotion to the Inter Milan first team after playing for Livorno - helped them to earn promotion to the Serie A.

Duncan who was a member of the Ghana squad that won bronze at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup, won the NextGen Series trophy with Inter Milan's Primavera side during Andrea Stramaccioni's spell at the club.
