Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed is keen on signing for giants Hearts of Oak after cancelling his contract with Libyan club Al Ittihad.

The 27-year-old versatile midfielder is keen to sort out his future and return to the Ghana Premier League when the window reopens for the second round.

Mohammed who left Kotoko to join Ittihad had stated in an interview he is likely to sign for Hearts of Oak if his spell with the Libyan outfit ends.

"If Hearts of Oak bring an offer which is good for me I will consider it," Mohammed told Happy FM.

Hearts have been courting the former OG Nice midfielder for over four seasons.

Mohammed says will jump at the opportunity to sign him to bolster their midfield which is mainly young players.

Yahaya was an integral member of the Ghana side that were losing finalists at the 2014 Chan hosted by South Africa.
