Atalanta is poised to rival Lazio in the pursuit of Hatayspor's Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, potentially hijacking the Roman club's move, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Lazio has been in negotiations with Hatayspor for the 22-year-old, but the transfer has stalled due to Dele-Bashiru's salary demands. Hatayspor is willing to sell for €7m.

According to TuttoAtalanta, Atalanta has entered the fray, engaging in talks with Hatayspor for the player.

The 22-year-old only arrived at Hatayspor on a free transfer last summer after severing ties with Sheffield Wednesday.

The talented midfielder made his competitive debut for Nigeria in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa two weeks ago.
