Super Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu has agreed to a long-term contract with his German Bundesliga II side FC St. Pauli, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

The 23-year-old in August 2020 switched from Norwegian first division club IK Start Kristiansand to the brown and white team.

Since then, the former Akwa United player has played a total of 48 league games and five cup games for FC St. Pauli. In the current season he has appeared in twelve competitive games, nine of them from the start.

“Hamburg has become our second home for my family and I, so I'm happy to be playing for FC St. Pauli in the years to come. I thank the club for their support and trust, which I would like to repay with good performances," Afeez said on the club official website
