El Kanemi Warriors goalkeeper, Agbor Ekoi was buried in his hometown, Obubra Cross River State, Nigeria on Friday, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

Agbor Ekoi was reported to have been involved in a fatal accident that led to his untimely death as he died on the spot of the accident on Thursday.

The 27-year-old was buried amid tears with family members, El Kanemi Warriors players, and friends present to bid the shot-stopper his final farewell.

Ekoi made history as he became the first in goal in Sporting Lagos's first-ever professional game as a football club.

He also has manned the goalpost of Abia Warriors, Heartland FC, and FC One Rocket.
