Tottenham thrash Burnley as Son Heung-min scores sensational solo goal
Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from their first defeat under Jose Mourinho by thrashing Burnley 5-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.
Mourinho, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino in November, oversaw three wins in his first three games as Spurs boss before his side lost 2-1 to the Portugese's former team Manchester United on Wednesday.
But the north London club were much improved on Saturday as they struck twice early through Harry Kane and Lucas Moura at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Dele Alli and Son Heung-min providing the assists.
Son turned goalscorer shortly after the half-hour mark to extend the hosts' lead to 3-0, finishing after a scintillating run from the edge of his own box.
Kane netted again in the second half before Moussa Sissoko added a fifth. The result meant the visitors fell to a third successive defeat.
Meanwhile, Tottenham closed the gap to fourth-placed Chelsea to six points, following the Blues' surprise defeat to Everton earlier on Saturday.
