Tottenham have failed to win any of their opening six matches for only the fourth time in the club’s history after being held by Manchester United.
The London club avoided defeat in a difficult match but remain without a victory after six rounds of the campaign. It is only the second occasion in the Premier League era that Tottenham have started a season without winning any of their first six games.
The previous instances came in 1912/1913, 1955/1956 and 2008/2009.
Tottenham will look to end that run in their next fixture when they host Coventry. Frank Lampard’s side are also searching for a change in fortunes and are playing their first Premier League season after a 25-year absence.
