Nine times Federation Cup winners, Rivers Angels have appointed Tosan Blankson as the new head coach as officially communicated by the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The former Delta Queens tactician who won the NWFL championship two seasons ago in the 2021/2022 season will now take charge of the seven times title winning team who narrowly missed out of the league crown by just a point margin to Edo Queens in the Super Six last time out.

The club wrote on theirr X handle, "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tosan Blankson as our new head coach. The details of his contract will be disclosed to the public during his official unveiling, which will take place at a later date".

"In the meantime, players of the team are expected to report back on August 7th to commence preparations for the upcoming season".

With the 2024/25 NWFL league kick-off yet unknown, teams recruitment ahead of the campaign still keeps on as they try to build up for a successful new football year.
