Togo coach excludes trio Emmanuel Adebayor, Kossi Agassa and Floyd Ayite from squad to face Ghana in friendly
Togo coach Tom Saintfiet has announced his 24-man squad to face Ghana in Monday’s international friendly without three key players Emmanuel Adebayor, Kossi Agassa and Floyd Ayité.
The trio were conspicuously missing from training which began this week in Lome for their upcoming 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
So, Saintfiet had to rejig his squad for the double assignments as he takes charge.
Lalawele Atakora and Jonathan Ayité have joined the Hawks training and goalkeeper Gilles Djehani has replaced Agassa.
ASFA Yennenga midfielder Rachod Aboubakar and Henritsè Eninful of Hungarian side Kecskemetite have been invited.
Belgium-based Fessou Placca and Komlan Agbegniadan of AS Port also joined the group.
After the meeting in Accra, Togo will continue its preparation to face Liberia in Lome on June 14th in qualifying for the CAN 2017.
