KRC Genk head Thorsten Fink  has slammed unfair penalty call in their 2-1 away loss to Standard Liege yesterday as the search for a first league win continues, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigeria international who has been reduced to a substitute role this season at the back of a starring campaign ignited Genk's comeback after a goal in the 70th minute but it wasn't enough to get anything in the tie much to Fink's disappointment, stating that they were denied a penalty.

"We're disappointed, because we really didn't deserve this. We did everything we could to win tonight, but luck was just not there. We hit the crossbar twice and didn't get a penalty against Tolu, while Epolo clearly hit his head instead of the ball", he said in his post match pressers.

"Football is about scoring goals, and that's where we lacked efficiency today. We controlled the match and gave it our all. We have to stay positive, because the level of play in the last three matches has been excellent.

"Now we have to turn this situation around quickly, both in Belgium and in Europe. We have enough quality, and there's no reason to panic. Winners don't hesitate, and doubters don't win", he concluded.
