The Interim Management Committee of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL have stated that the temporary venues for this season's NPFL super six will be in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja and the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos are the two provisional venues for the  Super Six according to IMC Head of Operation, Prince Davidson Owumi.

This was stated at the IMC NPFL media parley in Lagos on Tuesday as the Gabe a stewardship of the first stanza of the league.

It started that though there was nothing concrete in terms of venues for the Super Six, but a temporary provision will be Abuja and Lagos.

“No location for super six yet though they have a venue in mind that venue has no Premier League team.

“However, they will like to see how the season progresses and commercial viability before announcing a venue.  Abuja and Lagos are provisional venues in their minds, Prince Davidson Owunmi, the head of operations said.

The chairman of the committee, Gbenga Elegbeleye reiterated that the winners of the Super Six tournament will go home with an 100 million naira prize.

He went further to praise refereeing so far, stating that their performances will continued to be monitored.

On players welfare, the IMC stated that all players in the league are insuted and part of their aim is that the least paid player in a couple of seasons in the Nigerian League will be N1m.
