On a weekend where as many as ELEVEN Ghanaian players scored abroad, it was tough getting the best out of them but some were really outstanding for their club.

On an initial release on GSN's Sunday night show on GTV Sports Plus, Ernest Asante, Kevin Mensah and Dominic Oduro all made the squad but were brushed by Partey, Andre Ayew and Bernard Mensah who had great games.

Check out El Akyereko Frimpong's Players Abroad Team of the week.

GK: Adam Kwarasey - Portland Timbers (USA) Though the 27-year-old did not keep a clean sheet but he made some crucial saves that secured the three points for Timbers as they won just their third win of the season.

D: Baba Rahman - Augsburg (Germany) Baba played perhaps one of his best games of the season when he marshalled the lines and stopped Bayern Munich strikers at the Allianz Arena as Augsburg defeated Bayern 1-0. He was indeed splendid.

D: Dennis Appiah - Caen (France) Why no Ghana official hasn't spoken about him is a big question. Big guy. He had the balls to stop top-scorer Lacazette and the razor sharp Lyon attackers as Caen won their best game of the season, silencing Lyon 3-0 at the Stade Michel d'Ornano before 19K fans.

D: John Boye - Kayseri Erciyesspor (Turkey) Boye showed why he is one of the first names to get on the teamsheet week-in-week-out for Kayseri Erciyesspor. Though they surrended a 2-1 lead to draw, Boye made crucial interventions that saved the day for his side.

D: Masahudu Alhassan - Latina (Italy - Serie B) Alhassan has seen his own form flourished after returning to Latina from Udinese where he was deemed surplus to requirement. Had a great game in defence as Latina claimed a 2-0 win over Kingsley Boateng's Bari.

M: Alfred Duncan - Sampdoria (Italy) Duncan came to the party at the Stadio Communale Fruili and really enjoyed the game. He first assisted countryman Afriyie Acquah for his second career league goal in the 80th minute before he put his own name on the score-sheet, wheeling the Udinese backline and sweeping home a fierce drive past the onrushing keeper. Udinese 1-4 Sampdoria.

M: Afriyie Acquah - Sampdoria (Italy) The 23-year-old scored just his second career league goal with a neat finish at the Stadio Communale Fruili as Sampdoria claimed a 4-1 victory.

M: Bernard Mensah - Vitoria Guimaraes (Portugal) Mensah, 20, used Monday night to somehow justify to us why Jorge Mendes could be right about Manchester United's interest. He scored a brilliant 37th minute goal for Vitoria Guimaraes as they drew 2-2 at Nacional, his 5th of the season.

M: Thomas Partey - Almeria (Spain) Scored his third goal of the season as a loanee from Atletico Madrid. He overpowered everybody in the Malaga defence to head home a cross from the right. Partey has been in some good form all season, playing 29 La Liga games. He's just 21 and was once rejected by Sellas Tetteh for his U20 squad in 2013.

M: Andre Ayew - Olympique Marseille (France) It was big relief for Ayew as he scored and his side defeated rivals AS Monaco in the Ligue 1. The 25-year-old underlined his superior aerial abilities when he headed home the leveller before Marseille eventually won the tie before home fans.

F: Jordan Ayew - Lorient (France) Jordan scored his 12th goal of the season and helped Lorient boost their relegation survival chances at the expense of Metz who are now relegated. The 23-year-old neatly wrapped up the goalkeeper and finished with some killer instinct.
